Mother’s Day is approaching
No Comment |Posted by: mcalabro on May 3, 2011

Mother’s Day is celebrated in many parts of the world, most commonly during the months of Spring. Here in the US we celebrate our Mom’s and motherhood on May 8th this year as President Woodrow Wilson has proclaimed the second Sunday in May as a national holiday in honor of mothers.
According to Mothers Day Central the history of Mother’s Day is centuries old. It goes back to the Egyptians honoring the Goddess Isis and the ancient Greeks honoring Rhea, the mother of the Gods.
Many au pairs from my group have already been busy helping their host children make a special craft for their Mom and have been brainstorming how else they can contribute to making their HostMOM’S day special and show appreciation!
In case you have not found the perfect craft to make with your host children, here are some ideas:
You can find the instructions on the website Family Fun
Or how about this card, also from the website: www.familyfun.go.com
